Our firm provides legal counsel, training, and support services to Pre-K and K-12 schools, particularly public charter and independent schools. Education law is our practice. We support clients throughout the state,
and also provide training and consulting services, nationally.

About the Founder and Director
David Hostetler has specialized in education law for most of his thirty-two years as a North Carolina attorney, advising public charter and independent schools throughout North Carolina. He has served as legal consultant to the state's charter school associations, the NC Association of Independent Schools, and the National Association of Classical and Christian Schools. For thirteen years Mr. Hostetler was the Legal Director for the University of North Carolina's Principals' Executive Program, a statewide school leadership program. He has taught as an adjunct professor of law and education at numerous North Carolina law schools and schools of education, and currently teaches educational law, leadership, policy, and ethics in Appalachian State University’s Graduate Program in Educational Leadership. He began his legal career as a member of the litigation and employment practice sections of the Raleigh law firm of Maupin, Taylor, Ellis & Adams (now Williams Mullen). Mr. Hostetler has published extensively on matters related to education, technology, and employment law, and served on numerous boards and committees within the education bar. His education includes degrees from Duke University (J.D. and M.A. in Political Science), Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (M.A. in Theology), and Westminster College (B.A. in Business Administration).
